What Do We Believe?

We Believe the Following about God

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Luke3:21-22; John 10:30; Acts 5:3-4; Matthew 28:18-19).We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. (John 1:14; Matthew 1:18-23; Hebrews 4:15; Revelation19:11-13; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Luke 24:36-43).We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. (Acts 5:3-4; John 16:7-15; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Romans 8:9; Ephesians5:18; Acts 1:8; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Galatians 5:22-23).

We Believe the Following About The Bible

We believe the Bible (66 books, which means a closed canon) to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. It is fully sufficient and supersedes all other forms of revelation for all matters of faith and practice. We believe the New Testament to be our guidebook for Christian living. (Matthew5:17-18; Matthew 24:35; 2 Peter 1:2-3; 20-21; and 2 Timothy 3:16).

We Believe the Following about Salvation

We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe, and only such as received Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit, and thus become children of God (John 14:6; 17:3; Ephesians 2:8-9; Acts 4:12; Romans 8:9-11).

We Believe the Following about the Church

We believe Christians should be known by the manner of their living. We believe following Christ means following his example of serving others, living peaceably with one another, and actively participating in community with fellow believers. (James 1:27, 1 John 1:5,7, 1 Peter 2:9,Psalm133:1, Romans 12:2, Ephesians 4:1-3)s
